Condemn threats at university

The Whatcom County Democrats recommit to “joining hands against hate,” and condemn any and all threats directed at students of color at Western Washington University.

Any method of fear and intimidation directed against members of our community is unacceptable to the democratic values we believe in. We support and expect President Shepard and the Bellingham Police Department to use the means at their disposal to protect individuals and pursue the perpetrators of these despicable threats. We call on the members of the community to support the students in their request for protection and for a swift resolution to these threats.
