Thanks BTC for collaboration

I wish to praise the two instructors of Bellingham Technical College’s Diesel and Auto shop who spent a free evening last week with my marine engine maintenance class.

Jeff Curtis and Dan Beeson took this introductory engine class into areas of fluid mechanics and chemistry of engines far beyond the required scope of my course. We learned, for example, that casually delaying a coolant change for your engine can result in failure of major components, which would require a rebuild of the engine.

We are currently celebrating one year of holding all our classes at this campus and to be honest, I have come to expect this level of professionalism and skill at the college. The marine engine maintenance course is one of several boating skills courses now being offered by the United States Power Squadrons’ Bellingham unit at BTC. As an all-volunteer boating skills education organization, it makes sense to offer our courses in an academic setting. We are delighted with the expertise and help we get from the continuing education staff, well as all the support staff around the college.

Bellingham Technical College scores high marks with the United States Power Squadrons’ education team!
