Questions increase in cost of gasoline

I am noticing that gasoline prices are up more than 10 percent% over the last few weeks.

Crude oil prices are steadily below $50 a barrel, down from around the $100 a barrel that it was some months ago, and plentiful over this time. So oil companies, why the unreasonable increase to your customers, other than because you can?
