Concerned about impact of climate change

Since a few of the people who don’t believe that climate change is real object to numbers like those in some of the studies, how about some facts which don’t involve numbers?

For instance the fact (not conjecture) that ships can now traverse the Arctic Ocean. This has never been possible before in my lifetime. I understand that some shipping lines are now considering using this as a common route since it is much shorter than around the tip of South America.

There is also the fact that glaciers are retreating at an unprecedented rate all over the globe (oops, there may be a number involved there somewhere).

I still feel that the consequences of being wrong should be a consideration as part of the discussion. In the one case money is the concern, in the other case rendering parts of our planet uninhabitable looks to me like a much bigger issue, and no, I don’t think that the sky is falling.
