Sees differences in county candidates
Candidates for council districts 1 and 2 often comment on their philosophy of government.
One of them, Satpal Sidhu, stated that Whatcom County government’s primary role is to distribute the wealth and resources of county government to the citizens. Bruce Ayers, candidate for county council, asserts that the function of government and primary responsibility of county leaders is to ensure public safety. His position on the jail supports that purpose.
