Says Watson has vision to lead Ferndale
I will be voting for Cathy Watson to be the next mayor of Ferndale. We moved to Ferndale 13 years ago. Since then, the population has grown by 40 percent, along with additional housing, a new elementary school, new retail stores and modest improvements to city infrastructure. In Ferndale today, I believe we are missing so many crucial facilities that would bring families together, create opportunity for kids to grow, and build a stronger community. Places like an aquatic center, an indoor sportsplex, and modern, equipped outdoor parks would greatly enhance the quality of life for our citizens as well as keep us from traveling to Lynden or Bellingham to enjoy these things. I believe that Ferndale has not met its full potential because of past leadership and the lack of vision they had for our city. I believe that Cathy Watson possess the vision and leadership needed for our city to realize its full potential. Her lifelong service to our country as a guardsman, teacher and scientist has brought a wealth of knowledge to our city government and has greatly benefited our schools and community through her countless hours of volunteer work. I encourage voters to visit cathywatson.us to learn more about this remarkable person and candidate. Please join me in electing a genuine person and enthusiastic leader to be our next Ferndale mayor!
