Supports Sidhu for Whatcom County Council

I believe informed voters of Whatcom County did not re-elect Kathy Kershner to the County Council because her voting record came up short in planning and funding solutions to our problems of 21st Century governance. We are a growing and diverse community with a need for informed and creative thinking in council leadership.

In that regard I support council candidate Satpal Sidhu who is currently serving an appointed position on the council. About 25 years ago Satpal joined his farming family near Lynden and began volunteering in the Whatcom community. His education includes a degree in petroleum engineering. His experience includes job creation in Northwest refineries; president of Sunlogics Inc; dean of Engineering and Trades, Bellingham Technical College; St Joseph’s Hospital Advisory Council; Northwest Agriculture Business Center Board; Northwest Clean Air Advisory Board; Chiefs Diversity Committee for Bellingham Police; Meridian School District Levy Committees; Lynden School District Levy Committee, by invitation.

Satpal, his wife and three “locally grown” children represent the best of Whatcom citizenship. He gets my vote for Whatcom County Council.
