Am I the only citizen who wonders why my property taxes keep increasing and the funds are spent unwisely? I first noticed paint jobs done on the pavement in the Sunnyland area depicting a bicycle and some arrows, thinking it rather odd; then, while waiting on Cornwall Avenue for some elaborate green markings to be installed. The Herald reported the intersection of Ohio cost us $29,000-plus for these markings. Is this to give the two-wheeled drivers incentive to ignore the traffic laws?
Also, who decided it was a good idea to wait until the end of a very dry season to tear up Alabama Street? I am sure the school bus drivers are enjoying having to deal with the disruption. Who manages these projects?
