Says community at fault for homelessness
It isn’t the motel’s closure that is leaving some with nowhere to go. In part it is the failed housing policies of local, state and federal governments that have created the severe lack of affordable, obtainable housing for the poor in Whatcom County and in many cities across the nation. Given that “we the people” are responsible for how our various levels of government govern, this is truly a major “we the people” fail.
