Everyone who defends unlimited amounts of money from corporations and anonymous donors to candidates and political action committees (PACs) says there is still no quid pro quo (something for something). But I believe all one needs to do is go back to the Aug. 6 GOP debate to hear Sen. Rand Paul screaming at Donald Trump that he gives people money to candidates to influence their decisions, and later, Trump saying he gives money to candidates to get favors. Whether Donald Trump knows it or not, he Paul just gave the perfect argument for why I believe we need to get money out of the political process, and overturn Citizens United.
