We have saved for over 25 years for our retirement. Yes, we have gains over $25,000 in some of our stocks but we have held these stocks for years. Now the state wants a cut of our retirement income. If more people in the this county were responsible and saved money and not spent it all as it came in they would not be in the fix they are in. Yes, some people do need help, I understand that, but I believe many people feel they are owed a free lunch on the backs of others. Well, my back is bent double paying taxes on your purchases, property, fuel and other taxes. We give to the Lighthouse Mission and the Opportunity Council, also the food banks. Please call your legislator and tell them no on this tax that I believe will lead to a income tax for all in this state.
