Another storm heads toward Whatcom with wind and rain
Another wet and windy storm is heading toward Whatcom County, as a typical fall weather pattern settles over Western Washington after a four-month dry spell and several days of unhealthy air from wildfire smoke.
Skies should be mostly sunny and mild on Sunday, Oct. 23, with temperatures in the mid-50s, according to forecasts from the National Weather Service in Seattle.
But the rain returns in the late evening and lasts into Monday, Oct. 24, said meteorologist Carly Kovacik.
“A front will bring another round of rain on Monday. It also looks locally windy in the usual spots but nothing too impactful,” Kovacik said in the online forecast discussion.
Another round of rain will sweep across the area on Tuesday, Oct. 25, Kovacik said.
Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 26-27, look mostly sunny and dry, but more rain arrives by late Thursday, according to the forecast.
