Update: All lanes clear following afternoon crash north of Bellingham
The intersection of Guide Meridian and West Smith roads north of Bellingham has reopened to traffic following a crash involving a car and a motorcycle. State troopers remain on the scene investigating.
Dispatchers reported a collision between a car and a motorcycle injuring at least one person shortly after 4 p.m. All lanes of Guide Meridian Road were temporarily closed. Washington State Patrol later said the injuries were not as significant as they initially believed.
The Washington Department of Transportation announced the scene had cleared just after 4:30 p.m.
