Update: Southbound I-5 traffic through Bellingham resumes following crash

Update: WSDOT announced on social media just before 9 a.m. that the crash scene has been cleared and traffic has resumed. The original article follows below.

A Monday morning collision is blocking one lane of southbound Interstate 5 traffic through Bellingham.

The right lane southbound lane, the ramp and the general purpose lane near Bakerview Road (Exit 258) on Interstate 5 southbound is blocked.

The collision was reported at 7:59 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26, according to the PulsePoint app.

Medical aid, fire assistance and the Washington State Patrol are on scene. No injuries have been reported.

Delays are expected in the area and the Washington State Department of Transportation is suggesting commuters find an alternate route.
