Update: Traffic resumes on Interstate 5 near Slater Road after lengthy delays

UPDATE: WSDOT announced the collision had been cleared around 2:30 p.m. Monday, and all lanes are now open. The original article appears below.

A collision on northbound Interstate 5 has blocked all lanes of traffic at Slater Road on Monday. The collision was first reported around 9:22 a.m. Monday.

Vehicles are using the Slater Road ramps to detour around the collision, but traffic is backed up 2 miles, and there is no estimate for when the lanes will reopen, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

Washington State Patrol is on scene along with fire and aid vehicles. Injuries have not been reported.
