Lane closures set for Ferndale Terrace roundabout next week; expect delays

A traffic revision is set next week for the roundabout at the of intersection of Ferndale Terrace and Vista Dr in Ferndale. The work is related to the ongoing Ferndale Terrace Improvement Project.

Traffic will be intermittently restricted to single-lane, alternating traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5.

“Drivers should expect delays as the western half of the Vista Roundabout will be intermittently closed, and all traffic will be routed as single lane alternating traffic through the eastern half of the roundabout,” according to a news release from the city. “Flaggers will be onsite to guide drivers through the roundabout. This work is weather dependent.”

In addition to restricted traffic in the roundabout:

• Malloy Avenue between Seamount Drive and Shuksan Drive will be closed to all but local traffic.
• Shuksan Drive and Golden Eagle Drive will be closed to all but local traffic.

Residents in and near the work zone will have access in and out of their homes. The roundabout closure is in addition to the ongoing closure of Ferndale Terrace between Vista Drive and Hendrickson Avenue while the City completes work to reconstruct the roadway.
