Holiday travel delays expected amid I-5 lane closure in Bellingham

The right lane of southbound Interstate 5 will close from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25, near Iowa Street in Bellingham, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

The closure is for guardrail repair in the area, according to WSDOT.

People are advised to expect delays in the area.

“Expect heavy traffic as people head out early for the holidays,” WSDOT said in a social media post.
