Traffic is backed up for more than 3 miles on southbound Interstate 5 in Bellingham as state crews repair a guardrail Thursday morning.

The guardrail repair work is being done in the right lane of I-5 around the Sunset Drive exit, with delays expected in the area, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).

Repair work is expected to continue until noon, according to WSDOT.
