Meridian Street paving work will require overnight closures in Bellingham
Overnight paving is planned this week on Meridian Steet south of Interstate 5, the city of Bellingham said Friday.
Work will take place from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 25-26, on Meridian Street between I-5 and Orchard Drive as part of an ongoing sewer main project, the city said in its weekly online newsletter.
Work will begin south of I-5 and move north, according to the project page. It is expected to affect both the southbound and northbound lanes. Access to businesses will be maintained during construction.
Paving work is part of an extended project to replace a sewer line, according to previous Herald reporting.
