UPDATE: The affected lane was cleared around 2:30 p.m., according to WSDOT. The original story follows below.

A crash is blocking the left lane of northbound Interstate 5 traffic just south of Iowa Street in Bellingham, according to a social media post from the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) at 2:04 p.m. Aug 22.

The incident was first posted to social media at 1:39 p.m.

Drivers should expect delays. Incident Response and the Washington State Patrol are on scene. No information regarding the crash or any related injuries has been provided.

Traffic is backed up to the Old Fairhaven Parkway exit, according to the WSDOT interactive map.
