WSDOT work forces southbound I-5 lane closures this week in Bellingham

One lane of southbound Interstate 5 is closed between Iowa Street at Samish Way in Bellingham until noon Tuesday for shoulder maintenance.

Drivers should be prepared for backups of at least a mile heading south, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

The shoulder maintenance will continue from 1 a.m. to noon Wednesday.
