Work on the Malloy Avenue/Whiskey Creek culvert project in Ferndale will reduce Malloy Avenue north of Kona Court to a single lane of alternating traffic from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 11 through Wednesday, March 12, according to a news release from Ferndale Public Works.

Work will be focused on installing a pedestrian railing at the Whiskey Creek crossing, so a lane is being closed to provide crews with room for the installation.

The project replaces a failing culvert located in the 6300 block of Malloy Avenue with a fish passage structure and upgrades the existing roadway, according to the city of Ferndale.

Traffic controllers will be at the site to control the flow of traffic.
