Update: I-5 northbound cleared after crash slowed traffic north of Ferndale

UPDATE: The northbound lanes of I-5 are cleared as of 12:00 p.m. after a crash slowed traffic north of Grandview Road near Ferndale Tuesday morning.

A crash on northbound I-5 near Ferndale Tuesday morning blocked the left lane of the highway north of Grandview Road, according to a social media post by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).

No details were immediately available on the scope of the crash or whether any injuries were sustained. However, traffic cameras show one vehicle turned on its side as of 10:53 a.m.

WSDOT is warning people to expect delays and to consider alternative routes.
