Update: Northbound I-5 traffic resumes following pair of morning crashes in Skagit County

Update (9 a.m.): The crashes at Bow Hill Road and at Cook Road have been cleared, and northbound traffic is starting to clear.

Initial report:

Two crashes on northbound Interstate 5 in Skagit County have traffic backed up more than 3 miles, according to a social media post from WSDOT north.

The crashes are at Cook Road and Bow Hill Road. Injuries are unknown at this time.

Emergency crews are on scene. One lane was open at 7:45 a.m., and traffic is backed up. Drivers heading north should expect delays.
