Update: I-5 north traffic resumes following crash that had traffic backed up for miles

Traffic resumed just before 2 p.m. on Interstate 5 North after a crash had traffic backed up more than 2 miles Tuesday afternoon past North Lake Samish Drive.

The crash closed the right-hand lane near milepost 248.

The Washington State Department of Transportation announced in a social media post that all lanes of traffic were cleared just before 2 p.m.
