Head-on collision Thursday morning partly closes Hannegan Road in Whatcom County

A head-on crash has closed Hannegan Road between Smith and Axton roads.
Officers responded to the crash around 8:44 a.m. Thursday morning.
Both vehicles were single occupancy and both drivers had serious injuries and have been transported to the hospital, said Deb Slater with the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office.
Crews are working the accident at this time.
