Washington driver killed in single-vehicle crash near Peaceful Valley, State Patrol says

A Washington man was killed Wednesday in a single-vehicle collision near Peaceful Valley in Whatcom County.

David E. Brashear, 50, of Maple Falls, was southbound on Kendall Road around 7:50 p.m. when he drove off the right side of the road near the curve, according to the Washington State Highway Patrol.

The vehicle struck two traffic signs and a Puget Sound Energy power pole support cable.

The vehicle came to a stop in the intersection of Kendall Road and Mosey CT.

The accident is still under investigation.

Brashear was not wearing his seatbelt, according to a news release from Washington State Patrol, and was announced dead at the scene.
