A head on collision sent three people to the hospital at 2:45 p.m. Monday on Highway 9 south of Deming.

The collision occurred when the first vehicle, driven by Kaylee G. Wahl with passenger Amanda A. Stephens, crossed the yellow line and struck a vehicle driven by Ann L. Granger, according to a press release from the Washington State Patrol.

Wahl and Stephens were not wearing seat belts, according to police. They were transported to St. Josephs Hospital.

Granger was transported to Harborview Medical Center. Details on their injuries were not immediately available.
