An apartment fire on the Eastside left two people with life-threatening injuries, according to firefighters.

Eastside Fire & Rescue shared news of the two-alarm fire in the 3000 block of 230th Lane Southeast in Sammamish in an X post around 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

The two people with life-threatening injuries were pulled from one unit with heavy fire conditions, firefighters reported. Occupants of six apartment units were displaced.

Close to 30 fire crews responded, with help from the Bellevue, Redmond and Fall City fire departments, as well as the American Red Cross.

No information had been released about the cause of the fire.

Firefighters were assessing damage to the building, according to the Eastside Fire post. A public information officer didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. The fire department serves Issaquah, Mercer Island, North Bend, Sammamish and neighboring areas.
