AWB announces new round of 2026 legislative endorsements

The Association of Washington Business (AWB) has announced a new round of endorsements for candidates running for the state Legislature.

The AWB board of directors voted to endorse candidates in 14 legislative races following a months-long process that included member input and candidate interviews. The endorsements follow a first round of automatic endorsements of incumbents with an 80% or higher voting record of AWB-supported votes. Automatic endorsements were announced previously and can be viewed at https://tinyurl.com/3mbfp433.

"Washington employers are increasingly concerned about the direction of the state economy and the growing burden of taxes and regulations that leave our state out of step with much of the country," Morgan Irwin, vice president, government affairs, said in a news release from the AWB. "That's why it's so important that we elect leaders who not only understand the serious challenges facing employers right now, but also work to promote a growth agenda and create jobs."
