Where to celebrate July 4th in NCW: Fireworks, parades and events

Communities across North Central Washington are coming together to celebrate the nation's 250th Independence Day. Here are some of the celebrations planned across the region:

Chelan and Douglas counties

The Wenatchee Valley 4th of July celebration begins July 3 at Walla Walla Point Park. The rock band The Bada Bings will perform beginning at 5 p.m., when the beer garden also opens. Later that evening, "Despicable Me 4" will be shown as a movie in the park.

On July 4, festivities begin with the Coffee and Cars car show. Food vendors, the beer garden and entertainment open at noon, followed by a cornhole tournament at 1 p.m. Food, music and drinks continue throughout the evening before a fireworks show at 10:15 p.m.

Link Transit will provide shuttle service, pickups and dropoffs, in Wenatchee and East Wenatchee at JCPenney and Macy's at Wenatchee Valley Mall, respectively. Admission is free. Leavenworth will celebrate July 4 at Alpine Lakes Elementary School from 5 to 10 p.m. The family-friendly event will feature games and activities for all ages, entertainment, food and vendor booths, and historical and cultural displays. Celebrate Independence Day with an outdoor concert and Benevolent Night from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at Plain Cellars, 18749 Alpine Acres Road in Plain. Whisky Trail will perform from 6 to 8 p.m. Admission is free. Food and wine will be available for purchase. Proceeds, including donations through the "Pass the Bedpan" fundraiser, will benefit the Cascade Medical Foundation's campaign to purchase new equipment for Cascade Medical's endoscopy suite. The Lake Chelan Pirates will host the Pirate Fair at Riverwalk Park in Chelan on July 4 and 5. The family-friendly event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days and features food, vendors and entertainment. Attendees are encouraged to dress in pirate attire and bring lawn chairs or blankets. Manson will hold its 47th annual Fourth of July fireworks display July 4 at Manson Bay Park. Music begins at 7 p.m., followed by fireworks at 10:15 p.m. More information is available at mansonchamber.com/fourthofjulyfireworks.

Lake Chelan will host its first drone show celebrating the nation's 250th anniversary on July 5. Hundreds of illuminated drones will create an aerial display visible from Don Morse Park in Chelan beginning at 10 p.m. A synchronized soundtrack will air on KOZI Radio. Grant County

The Crescent Bar Recreation Area will host a Fourth of July concert celebrating the nation's 250th anniversary at Sunserra Golf Course. The event features The Dean James Band, of Nashville, with special guest Santa Poco, followed by a fireworks show. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., with Santa Poco performing first, followed by The Dean James Band. Fireworks are scheduled for about 10 p.m. More information is available at crescentbar.org.

The town of George will celebrate the nation's 250th Independence Day with its 69th annual Fourth of July celebration, featuring a parade, live music, children's games and fireworks.

Events centered around George Community Hall and George Community Park begin at 7 a.m. with registration for the Cherry Bomb Run and a pancake breakfast, which continues until 11 a.m. Construction of the town's "world's largest cherry pie" begins at 7:30 a.m., followed by the Cherry Bomb Run at 8:30 a.m. Parade registration and lineup begin at 9 a.m. at the Martha Inn parking lot, and food and vendor booths open throughout the morning.

The Grand Parade begins at 10 a.m., while children's games and contests run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A patriotic program and cherry pie serving begin at 11 a.m. Afternoon entertainment includes magician Nate Jester at 12:15 and 2:30 p.m., recognition of the Citizens of the Year at 12:50 p.m., and a performance by the Choppers Brass Quintet at 1 p.m. Evening entertainment includes the Rocky Ford Band from 6 to 7 p.m., the Pedro Rodriguez Band from 7:30 to 10 p.m., and country artist Jeremy McComb from 8:30 to 10 p.m. Fireworks are scheduled for 10 p.m., or at dusk. Okanogan County

Grand Coulee Dam will host a three-day Festival of America at Coulee Dam Visitor Center Park to celebrate the nation's 250th anniversary. The festival features live music, local food vendors, family activities and what organizers describe as the Grand Coulee Dam's largest fireworks show. Twisp will celebrate July 4 with its 135th annual Fourth of July Parade and Food Drive. Music and dancing begin at 10 a.m., followed by the parade at 11 a.m. More information is available at twispwa.com/event-details/fourthofjulyparade2026.
