State Highway 14 partially closed due to brush fire near Dallesport

A fast moving brush fire near Dallesport in the Columbia River Gorge has prompted evacuation orders and a partial State Highway 14 closure in Klickitat County, about 73 miles east of Washougal.

The Klickitat County Department of Emergency Management reported Friday afternoon that the Crawford Oaks Fire has resulted in Level 3 "go now" and Level 2 "get set" evacuation orders.

Officials also closed State Highway 14 in both directions from State Highway 197 to Avery Park due to low visibility from smoke.
