Roadwork updates: Antoine Creek, Entiat, Monitor and Manson

Motorists outside Chelan, Entiat, Monitor and Manson may encounter delays or closures amid ongoing public works projects.

County crews Monday finished pre-leveling roadwork, a type of pavement repair, on Antoine Creek Road near Chelan and now will move onto Entiat River Road between Mills Canyon and a nearby bridge over the Entiat River, according to a Chelan County newsletter.

People traveling in this area should expect traffic delays as the road will be limited to one lane with flaggers directing traffic.

The intersection at Old Monitor Road and Main Street over in downtown Monitor will be closed from July 13 to July 17. BSNF Railway is closing the intersection to replace pads and rails on the track as well as resurface the area. Detours are available around the closure, according to the newsletter.

The Totem Pole Road improvement project, totaling $8 million in costs and beginning construction in March 2026, has fallen behind schedule, with completion of the project now set for mid-July.

Construction was originally planned to end in June.

Further updates on this and other projects are posted to the county's public works Facebook page.
