LCC board extends interim president contract

The Lower Columbia College Board of Trustees voted Monday to extend interim President Kristen Finnel's contract through the end of June 2028.

The board previously voted in May to postpone the search for a new president until July 2027. The expected start date for the new president is July 1, 2028.

Before the extension, Finnel's contract was set to end Aug. 31.

The board waited to vote to extend Finnel's contract after postponing the search because staff did not have a contract addendum prepared at the May 20 meeting.
