2 Mega Millions players score in Western Washington. Where tickets were sold

Two Mega Millions players scored sizable prizes in Western Washington, lottery officials said.

The lottery players matched four white balls and the Mega Ball in drawings on Friday, April 24, and Tuesday, April 28, according to Washington’s Lottery.

Both lucky lottery players initially won $10,000 prizes.

However, the tickets’ multipliers increased their prizes to $30,000 and $40,000, respectively, lottery officials said.

Where were winning Mega Millions tickets sold?

One Mega Millions player bought a lucky lottery ticket worth $30,000 at a Safeway grocery store at 4754 Southwest 42nd Ave. in Seattle, according to a Washington’s Lottery spokesperson.

Another gambler purchased a winning Mega Millions ticket worth $40,000 at Laird’s Corner Market, 242811 West Highway 101 in Port Angeles, the spokesperson said.

What were lucky Mega Millions numbers?

The winning Mega Millions numbers in Friday’s drawing were 7, 16, 32, 35 and 40, with a Mega Ball of 12, according to Washington’s Lottery.

Winning numbers in Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing were 14, 36, 41, 47 and 66 with a Mega Ball of 15.

The next Mega Millions drawing is on Friday, May 1.

As of Thursday, April 30, the Mega Millions jackpot was up to $178 million with a cash option of $79.6 million, according to Washington’s Lottery.

How does Mega Millions lottery game work?

Mega Millions tickets cost $5 per play, according to Washington’s Lottery.

Players pick five numbers between 1 and 70 and one Mega Ball number between 1 and 2.

You can fill out your own play slip or “let the system Quick Pick them for you,” lottery officials said.

Each individual play includes a randomly generated multiplier of 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x or 10x.

Jackpots begin at $50 million and “keep growing until someone matches all six numbers to win,” Washington’s Lottery said on its website.
