Powerball player wins big in Western Washington. Here’s where ticket was sold

A Powerball ticket sold in Western Washington missed the jackpot but still won big, according to lottery officials.

The Powerball player matched four white balls and the red Powerball to win $50,000 in the drawing on Saturday, March 28, according to Washington’s Lottery and the national Powerball website.

Where was lucky Powerball ticket sold in Western Washington?

The lucky Powerball ticket was purchased at a Haggen grocery store at 17641 Garden Way NE in Woodinville, according to a Washington’s Lottery spokesperson.

It takes roughly an hour and 20 minutes to drive from Bellingham to Woodinville.

Woodinville is about 50 minutes from Tacoma by car.

What were winning Powerball numbers?

The winning numbers in Saturday’s Powerball drawing were 11, 42, 43, 59 and 61 with a Powerball of 25, according to the national Powerball website.

When is the next Powerball drawing?

The next Powerball drawing is on Monday, March 30, at 7:59 p.m.

What to know about Powerball lottery game

Powerball tickets are sold in 45 U.S. states and Washington, D.C., as well as Puerto Rico and The Virgin Islands.

Players may choose their own numbers or have them randomly selected.

“The jackpot is won by matching all five white balls in any order and the red Powerball,” the national Powerball website said, noting that “the Powerball jackpot grows until it is won.”

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are one in 292,201,338, according to the Washington’s Lottery website.
