Lottery ticket sold in Washington wins $230K. Where was it purchased?
A lottery ticket sold in Western Washington struck the Hit 5 jackpot, according to lottery officials.
The ticket matched all five winning numbers in the Wednesday, Oct. 1, drawing to claim the cashpot, which had grown to $230,000, Washington’s Lottery said on its website.
The ticket was sold at the Jacksons convenience store at 13885 Fryelands Blvd. in Monroe, a lottery spokesperson told The News Tribune in a Thursday, Oct. 2, email.
Monroe is in Snohomish County, about a 65-mile drive northeast from Tacoma.

The winning numbers for Wednesday’s drawing were 5, 10, 12, 28 and 36, according to the Washington’s Lottery website.

Washington’s Hit 5 lottery game play costs $1 to play, with players picking five numbers between 1 and 42, the lottery website said.
Players can also let the Quick Pick system choose numbers for them.
The cashpot starts out at $100,000 and rises until a ticket matches the five numbers, per the lottery website.
The odds of winning the top prize are one in 851,000.
More than 11,200 winning tickets were sold in the Oct. 1 drawing, with prizes from a free HIT5 ticket to $150, plus the top prize, according to the lottery website.
The Jacksons store location in Monroe will get a $2,300 bonus for selling the ticket, the lottery spokesperson said.

The next Hit 5 drawing is Thursday, Oct. 2, at 8 p.m.
“Ticket sales are cut-off every night at 7:45 p.m. and resume at 7:46 p.m.,” Washington’s Lottery said on its website.
