WA cabin destinations named among seven best tiny rentals in the country

Washington is the tiny house vacation rental capital of the country, apparently.

USA Today recently released its list of the seven tiny house rentals it recommends across the U.S., with four spots from the Evergreen State making the cut.

WA tiny house rentals named among best in US

Tenzen Springs + Cabins - Stevenson, WA

The first Washington spot to be featured was Tenzen Springs + Cabins in Stevenson. The southern Washington destination on the Columbia River features hot springs and over 100 acres of land, but the cabins themselves are relatively small – around 850 square feet to around 250 square feet, according to Tenzen’s website.

In addition to the Japanese-style hot springs, the site features an indoor sauna and geothermal tub. The company’s website currently lists reservations for this summer starting $312 a night on weeknights and $414 on weekends. You can check availability and make a reservation on Tenzen’s website.

Saltwater Farm at Friday Harbor - San Juan Island, WA

The next Washington destination on the best tiny house rental list is Saltwater Farm in Friday Harbor on San Juan Island. The grounds span 162 acres, according to Saltwater Farm’s website, and there are several different cabins for guests to choose from. Accommodations range from around $320 a night to over $500 a night this summer, depending on the cabin. The site, which USA Today highlighted for its eco-friendly initiatives, also hosts events and retreats.

Lopez Farm Cottages - Lopez Island, WA

Staying in the San Juan Islands, Lopez Island’s Lopez Farm Cottages made the list as well. Located on the north side of the island, the site offers campsites, permanent tents and cabins. Cottages start at $249 a night for most of the summer, according to the company’s online reservations page website.

Postcard Cabins - Multiple locales including Mount Vernon, WA

While the other three tiny cabin locations named are Washington-only spots, the fourth destination is part of a national chain with a location in Skagit County.

Postcard Cabins, owned by Marriott, has 30 locations across the country according to its website. Each is billed as a convenient retreat from the closest major city. The “Seattle” location is located an hour north, just outside of Mount Vernon, with 36 cabins over nearly 70 acres.

Cabins start around $200 a night most weeknights this summer and upwards of $250 on weekends, according to Marriott’s booking site.
