Check to make sure your electric scooter isn’t recalled because it might come apart

About 3,900 Apollo Phantom Electric Scooters got recalled after the company learned a single bolt can malfunction at a key junction.

As explained in the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall notice, that lone stem bolt connects the stem with the suspension and wheel assembly.

“The bolt on the electric scooter can come loose causing the suspension and wheel assembly to separate, posing fall and injury hazards,” the alert says.

Apollo knows about seven bolt breaks “resulting in the stem detaching or loosening, including three injuries of bruising, cuts and abrasions.”

This recall covers Apollo Phantom V1, V2 and 60V models.
