Washington state pot industry focus of Bellingham talk on Feb. 24

“Pot and Public Policy: Washington’s Marijuana Industry” will be the topic of a forum at Bellingham City Club on Wednesday, Feb. 24.

Speakers will be Rick Garza, director of the state Liquor and Cannabis Board, and attorney Heather Wolf, who advises marijuana business clients in Whatcom County and the state.

There also will be time for audience questions.

The event, which is open to the public, starts with a buffet lunch at 11:50 a.m. at Northwood Hall, 3240 Northwest Ave. in Bellingham. The program begins at 12:20 p.m.

Advance tickets cost $13 for City Club members, $18 for non-members, and $5 for those age 29 and younger. Buy them from Brown Paper Tickets by calling 800-838-3006 or going online to bellinghamcityclub.org.

Advance tickets are available until 11:50 a.m. Monday, Feb. 22. A limited number of tickets may be available at the door for $15 for members and $20 for non-members.
