Briscoe leads port race; Donovan ahead in Whatcom council

Robert “Bobby” Briscoe and Gary Jensen were leading in early election returns Tuesday night, Aug. 4, in the race for Port of Bellingham commissioner.

Meanwhile, Todd Donovan and Bruce Ayers were the early front-runners in the race for a Whatcom County Council seat.

The top two vote-getters in each race advance to the November general election.

Cathy Watson and John Mutchler were leading in the race for Ferndale mayor.
