$30 scratch-off leads to $3 million jackpot in Georgia. Where was ticket sold?
Just one week after the launch of the Jingle Jumbo Bucks scratch-off lottery games in Georgia, the top prize has been claimed.
A $30 ticket was sold at T&M Food Mart on Peterson Avenue South in Douglas, according to an Oct. 30 news release from the Georgia Lottery.
The lottery player won the $3 million top prize, lottery officials said, and chose the cash option for their winnings, taking home $1,498,857.
The prize was claimed Oct. 29, eight days after the game began on Oct. 21.
The odds of winning a prize in the $3 million game are 1 in 2.54, officials said.
The Douglas winner wasn’t the only one to take home a prize this week.
A player in Lithonia won $362,214 in the Oct. 30 Fantasy 5 drawing through the Georgia Lottery mobile app, officials said.
Another winner bought a 20X The Money Quick Win ticket at a Murphy USA in Griffin, bringing home $32,909 on Oct. 29, according to the release.
Lastly, a Barnesville resident took home $10,000 on the Jackpots Diggi Game in the mobile app, lottery officials said.
