Pair kidnap 12-year-old boy from his home and douse him with bleach, Ohio cops say
An Ohio couple is accused of kidnapping a boy from his home and assaulting him, authorities said.
Reka E. Jarmon, 33 and DeMarcus Pleasure, 37, were both indicted March 3 on kidnapping, abduction and assault charges in connection with the incident, Montgomery County court records show. Attorney information was not available.
Officers responded shortly after 1:30 p.m. Feb. 22 to reports of a kidnapping, Dayton Police Department Lt. Steven Bauer told McClatchy News.
At about the same time, officers received a related call reporting abuse at a different residence, Bauer said.
Officers learned Jarmon and Pleasure entered a home and began attacking a 12-year-old boy, then forced him into a car and took him to the second location where they continued to assault him, Bauer said.
The pair are accused of pouring bleach on the boy’s face, WHIO and the Dayton Daily News reported, citing court records.
The child had injuries to his eyes and face, the outlets reported.
Authorities said the 12-year-old “may be a sexual assault suspect.”
Jarmon is in custody at the Montgomery County jail, and a warrant was issued for Pleasure’s arrest.
