Viral trend has TikTokers ignoring celebrities. JoJo Siwa is first on the chopping block

A new trend flooding TikTok has users ignoring celebrities on purpose — and JoJo Siwa is the first target.

In a Nov. 27 TikTok, user @Heemaw took to the app to say “Bruh imagine if we all just started ignoring celebrities like how hilarious would it be if they posted and got like 13 likes,” according to a video that’s been viewed nearly 50 million times as of Dec. 3.

Users rushed to the comments to give their two cents on who should be first on the chopping block.

The app spoke and everyone was in agreement that they will “start with JoJo Siwa,” according to the video.

Users predicted the trend would skyrocket as it did with one person commenting, “I can smell this becoming a trend.”

User @Momo_reaghan took to TikTok to share her thoughts on the trend by saying, “This trend of ignoring celebrities is actually so fun. Why didn’t we start this sooner.”

In a sense, the trend comes from users realizing how much power they have over influencers and celebrities with one person saying, “We just don’t realise that it actually us who have power. Like we literally decide their salary.”

“They depend on us,” another wrote.

As for the progress the TikTokers have made?

Well, JoJo Siwa’s numbers seem to have plummeted.

JoJo Siwa known as @Itsjojosiwa on TikTok has over 45.8 million followers and throughout the course of her TikTok posting has amassed over 2 billion likes.

Yet, as of recently, Siwa got 16 million views on a Dec. 1 video but only 33,100 likes.

Users took to the comments to remind others about keeping “the plan” in mind with one person saying, “Pov: you saw the video abt ignoring jojo siwa.”

“STICK TO THE PLANNNN,” another wrote.

“IGNORE THE VIDEO,” one person said.

“GUYS STICK TO THE MASTER PLAN,” another person commented.
