Man drugged and raped 10 victims he met on dating sites, Pennsylvania officials say
Officials in Pennsylvania say more women have come forward to accuse a man they met on dating sites of drugging and raping them.
Andrew Gallo, 40, is charged with 10 counts of rape by causing impairment, 12 counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, eight counts of strangulation, five counts of selling or furnishing liquor or malt or brewed beverage to minors, and one count of corruption of minors, according to a Nov. 25 news release from the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office.
Attorney information for Gallo was not available.
In September, prosecutors announced charges against Gallo related to six victims who had accused him of drugging and sexually assaulting them, according to a Sept. 11 news release. Since then, six more women have come forward to say he drugged them, and five of the women said he also raped them, according to officials.
Gallo met them on multiple dating websites, including Sugardaddymeet.com, officials said. He went by the username DREWSTER420 and one victim said he also used the name KAE, according to the news release.
After meeting online, Gallo would have them come to his home for a date. That’s where officials said he drugged them by putting methamphetamine and other drugs in their drinks.
“The victims described feeling strange and ‘out of it’ almost immediately after having his drinks. The five rape victims reported engaging in rough sex with Gallo, with four of them describing him putting his hands around their throat to the point of them passing out or almost passing out,” officials said.
The women told officials the drugs made them hallucinate and made it hard for them to sleep. Most of the women needed medical attention afterward, according to prosecutors.
“Detectives reviewed their lab tests, which showed they had methamphetamines or amphetamines in their system. Before his arrest, investigators served a search warrant at Gallo’s home, recovering a bottle of tequila that tested positive for methamphetamine,” officials said.
Evidence also showed that Gallo searched “pornography involving drugged women” online, according to the release.
The women ranged in age from 18 to 35 and were assaulted between June 2018 and June 2024, officials said. The first group of victims were between the ages of 17 and 30.
“The victims in this case are so courageous,” District Attorney Jennifer Schorn said at a September news conference. “They came forward to report crimes that quite frankly predators like this assume the victims won’t have the strength to do so and I commend them for their strength and courage.”
