A 16-year-old who went missing after a car crash was found dead in a creek, Alaska officials said.

On Sept. 21, officers got a call about a car crash with injuries, according to a Sept. 23 Facebook post by the Sitka Police Department.

When officers arrived, they learned four people had been in the car but could only account for three, officials said.

The three people were sent to a hospital for their injuries, officials said.

Four days later, the missing teen, later identified as David Jackson, was found dead in the outflow of Sawmill Creek in Silver Bay, officials said.
