A woman was injured when a man drove a truck into her tent in the campgrounds of an Ohio music festival, officials say.

The 24-year-old driver was arrested and charged with aggravated vehicular assault following the Sept. 22 incident at Lost Lands Festival in Legend Valley, according to the Licking County Sheriff’s Office.

The Festive Owl, a music festival insider, said it happened at 3 a.m. as the man was “exhibiting erratic behavior.”

“(He) drove through an area with campers and people inside their tents,” The Festive Owl said on X, formerly Twitter. “Those nearby were eventually able to subdue and pull the driver from the vehicle.”

A Reddit poster who attended the electronic dance music festival said they heard screams and cries for help with at least one person trapped in a tent stuck under the truck.

The Reddit post included a picture of the truck, which officers put a barricade around.

Deputies said a female occupant of a tent was injured and was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver was arrested at the scene, according to The Festive Owl.

“On Saturday night, (the) Licking County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man after a vehicle was involved in an incident at the vendor camping area, injuring two people, one of whom was taken to a local hospital to receive medical care and is in stable condition,” Lost Land Festival organizers said in a statement to McClatchy News. “We are offering any information we can to local authorities to aid their investigation.”

Founded by popular dubstep artist Excision, the sold-out Lost Lands Festival took place Sept. 20-22 with an estimated 50,000 people in attendance, according to the Newark Advocate.

This year’s event, EDM.com reported in June, sold out in record time.

Legend Valley is about a 35-mile drive east from Columbus.
