Missing 5-year-old boy found dead in dumpster, Wisconsin cops say. Two arrests made
A 5-year-old boy was found dead in a dumpster less than a day after he went missing, Wisconsin authorities say.
Prince McCree was last seen alive at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, according to the Milwaukee Police Department.
As officers looked for Prince on Thursday morning, they found his body in a dumpster at 8:50 a.m., according to police and WISN. The dumpster where Prince was found is a mile away from where he was last seen.
Foul play is suspected in the boy’s death, police told TMJ and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
“It’s a terrible tragedy for the whole community to see another child so senselessly lose their life and then to be discarded in the manner in which they found the child,” Alderman Michael Murphy told the Journal Sentinel.
Two persons of interest — a 27-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy — were arrested Thursday, police said. Their relationships to Prince are unclear and their identities have not been publicly disclosed.
Police called the homicide investigation “fluid and ongoing.”
