A singer-songwriter, best known for co-writing the Katy Perry hit “Walking on Air,” vanished in California more than a month ago and has not been seen or heard from since, according to friends.

Camela Leierth-Segura, 48, was last seen in Beverly Hills on June 29, according to the California Department of Justice.

“We are extremely worried about her safety, and despite our best efforts, the local authorities have not been able to locate her,” friend Liz Montgomery wrote in an Aug. 9 Facebook post.

The Beverly Hills Police Department did not immediately return McClatchy News’ request for comment on Aug. 16.

Police told The Los Angeles Times they were not told of the musician’s disappearance until August.

“She’s not the type to live out of her car,” Montgomery told the newspaper. “So I’m just very concerned that something happened.”

Other friends also share the same concern over Leierth-Segura’s sudden disappearance.

“I’d like to think nothing bad happened, but do I think something bad happened? Yeah,” friend Cecilia Foss told KABC.

Leierth-Segura, originally from Sweden, has worked in the entertainment industry since childhood, according to her IMDB page. She worked as a musician in Sweden in the late 1990s.

Leierth-Segura drives a 2010 Ford Fusion with the California license plate 6KZJ725, according to the California Department of Justice. She stands 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 125 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Beverly Hills police at 310-285-2184.
