A husband and wife in their 90s were killed when their car skidded off the road and crashed, Georgia deputies say.

Deputies responded at about 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 27, after multiple 911 calls about the wreck in Forsyth County, according to the sheriff’s office.

They arrived to find the couple deceased in the car.

Investigators believe Alice Jackson, 91, was driving with her husband in their Cadillac XT4 when she began to drift off the road, deputies said in a news release.

She overcorrected, causing the SUV to veer off the road and flip, the release said. Their car was found overturned at the top of an embankment.

Jackson’s husband, 91-year-old Jimmy Jackson, was also killed, deputies said.

Additional details weren’t released.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.

Forsyth County is about 40 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta.
